  • 48-Hour Giveaway: $5 Gift Card to Magazines.com

It’s a little weird to call this a giveaway, but I didn’t know what else to call it.

Magazines.com sent me an email offer stating that they would send 5 of my friends who aren’t already members a $5 gift card code.* That means you can get something free or cheap – $5 will get you a six-month subscription to Cesar’s Way (of “The Dog Whisperer”). Three issues of National Geographic for Kids is $5.97. Twelve issues of Good Housekeeping is $7.97, so only $2.97 after the gift card (but a one-year subscription is only $5 at Amazon*in case you don’t win).

I still feel like there might be a catch, so I have to include a disclaimer that I’m not liable for any sort of damages if this deal doesn’t work the way it seems to. However, here is what their site says:

Qualifying referred email recipients will receive a $5 gift card code from Magazines.com in the form of an email. Limit one Magazines.com $5 gift card code per email recipient.

All you have to do to enter the giveaway is fill out the form below with your full name and email address. Keep in mind that you must be a new Magazines.com customer or you will not receive the $5 gift card code.

I’ll select five recipients using Random.org, and announce them here on CFO as well as contact them by email. (If you’re having trouble seeing or submitting the form, go directly to the published form.)

The giveaway will end at 9:00 p.m. on Friday, December 11, 2009. Good luck!

*Disclosure: I’m an Amazon affiliate, so any purchase you make after entering Amazon through a link on Chief Family Officer supports this site at no additional cost to you. Thank you! I’m not an affiliate of Magazines.com, but when you redeem the $5 gift certificate, I’ll get a $10 gift certificate. If you ask me, it’s a pretty weird offer, but I want to pass on the savings!
