  • Important change to Swag Bucks gift card prizes

Search & WinSwag Bucks announced yesterday that they will no longer send out physical gift cards. Instead, all gift cards will awarded online, and the redemption code will be available in your Account Profile, under the new “My Gift Cards” section. Redemption codes should be posted 4 to 7 days after you redeem your Swag Bucks. It appears that there won’t be any notification email to let you know that your redemption code has been posted.

While this change makes it inconvenient, if not impossible, to convert Swag Bucks into gift cards for gift giving, Swag Bucks claims that it will allow them to expand their gift code offerings. So we’ll have to see what other redemption options become available.

    1. Corrie at "Cents"able Momma says:

They just added to their blog that they will still be sending out the Starbucks GC’s, but in $10 quantities now. Good news for the coffee drinkers :-).

    2. How long does it take for the gift cards to be mailed? I redeemed two amazon cards weeks ago, and I’m still waiting.

    3. Jennifer, you should receive a code for the Amazon.com gift cards. They don’t mail you an actual card, but email you one to add to your Amazon account. Check under the “My Gift Cards” section in your Swag Bucks account. The codes may be there.

    4. Sorry — they email you a code that you use as the gift card on Amazon. I just pre-load them on to my account. Under “My Account” on Amazon, scroll down to “Payments” and click on “Apply a Gift Certificate/Card to Your Account”. You put the code in there and they just pile up until you want to use them. You don’t HAVE to use them when you check out of Amazon, but you can if you want to. Much easier then trying to keep all those codes until you need them!

    5. Chief Family Officer says:

@Jennifer – I generally do the same thing as Camille, and apply the codes to my Amazon account right away.

@Camille – Thanks so much for answering Jennifer’s question!

    6. Thanks for the response! I had to email them for the codes again, said that I should have received them, but I don’t think that I did, to tell you the truth. They did not go to my junk email box when they sent them again. I did as you suggested, and credited them to my Amazon account. Thanks again! I’m saving up for a DVD cartoon set for my boys, since I’m tired of requesting it from the library.

    7. i just snagged a amazon gift card for $5 and 450 sb, i have waited more than a month i still have not got the code so i can put it on my amazon account. I want to know if all the swagbucks i bought the card for was just a waste or what? I need some help on this situation here?!

Did you verify the order after you placed it? If you didn’t, the order will have been canceled and the Swag Bucks returned to your account.

If you did, have you checked the “My Order Status” and “My Gift Cards” pages in your Swagbucks account? You can also check the “Ledger” to see your account history to confirm that your order went through. If all of those pages indicate that your order was processed, I would contact Swagbucks Support. Hope that helps!
