Kmart is doubling coupons again this week

Updated: See below!

Kmart is doubling coupons again this week - it seems to be happening at most, if not all, stores. When I entered my zip code online to check the local weekly ad, I got an ad that has double coupons taking up the bottom portion of the first page. So although I haven't been to a store yet, I'm pretty confident that the stores in my area must participating.

I'm not sure I'll be going because Kmart's not nearly as convenient as Target or the drugstores, but I'm thinking about it. Bargain Briana has a nice list of things that she got for free or cheap. There are also quite a few reports on doubles trips at A Full Cup.

One common thing I keep reading is that Kmart's prices are generally higher than other stores like Target or WalMart, so the best thing to do is stick to things that are free or almost free. I shared reader Kayla's strategy for taking advantage of Kmart doubles a couple of months ago. The rules are pretty much the same, but I would add that you should keep in in mind that a coupon over $2 does not double (i.e., a $3 coupon would only give you $3 off, not $4).

A good coupon to take is the $2 off Huggies that you can find at Coupons.com or in the Coupons.com banner in the left sidebar here. Just click on the gray "see all coupons" bar at the top of the banner and scroll down. (Printing from the banner will support CFO at no additional cost to you. Thanks!) There's a deal for $5 off any toy when you buy $20 worth of Huggies, and of course, the coupon will double to $4. Thanks to everyone who pointed out that printable coupons don't double. My apologies for missing that!

Happy shopping!

Hi there. Kmart don't double Internet printables!

The fine print in the ad does state that internet coupons are not valid. However, there are $1.50 coupons for Huggies that make for a great deal.
