After taking a little bit of a break from The Drugstore Game about a month ago, I've been hitting the drugstores pretty regularly the last few weeks. Last week, I picked up some inexpensive trash bags at Walgreens, and I stopped by CVS, where they didn't have Purex HE (bummer!), but they did have some summer items on 90% off clearance and free Excedrin Express Gels. For this week's deals, I've already hit Rite Aid for more Garnier Fructis Instant Melting Conditioner, and I'm planning to go to CVS and Walgreens during the week.
I managed to swing by a CVS on Monday, but they were out of the free-after-ECB L'Oreal Revitalift that I was hoping to get (the deal was only good on Sunday and Monday, and I didn't think to get a raincheck, unfortunately). I'm definitely going back, though, because I am very excited about the Kimberly Clark deal - Kleenex is on sale for 77 cents, and if I buy $25 worth, I'll get $10 in ECBs back. That's 33 boxes, in case you were wondering. I probably can't find all 33 boxes at one store, however, and I don't really want to drive from store to store, so I will probably just buy a package of Cottonelle toilet paper ($5.99) and a package of Viva paper towels ($6.49), and hopefully I'll be able to pick up a mere 17 boxes of Kleenex, which would add up to $25.57. I know I don't have any Kleenex coupons, but I can't figure out why I can't find any Viva or Cottonelle coupons in my stash - hopefully those will turn up before I go shopping. I'm also planning to pick up the free-after-ECB Nivea men's body wash and the free-after-ECB-and-coupon Adidas deodorant. See Mommy Making Money for details on the ECB deals.
I also plan to get to Walgreens this week, but not until Friday or Saturday - I am really hoping that a one or two-day only coupon comes out for then and makes up for my forgetfulness a couple of weeks ago. In addition to the free-after-rebate items that I still haven't picked up, I plan to get some free Dimetapp, Halls cough drops (99 cents per bag with in-ad coupon), and free Reach toothbrushes. See Money Saving Mom for the deal details. (And see this post for the Dimetapp details.)

Cathy, did you see the link for the CVS $3/$15 coupon at http://sahmmoney.blogspot.com/?
We had enough kleenex so I bought 4 packages of the Cottonelle (which was $6.49 at our store). I can safely say that we are now stocked up on toilet paper!
If you have it in your area, the Dole Fruit at 3 for $5 is a pretty good price, especially if you have the $1 off 3 packages coupon that I had in my stash from who knows when. My daughter takes her lunch to school and wears braces, so the softer, small bite fruit is something she takes quite regularly.
You can get Cottonelle coupons online. If you post a "pledge" on the web site, you get to print a $1 off aloe or ultra toilet paper (can do this twice). But I found out that the coupons actually work for any variety of Cottonelle. My CVS only had regular, so I bought 3 packs and used a 50 cent coupon from the newspaper, and 2 $1 coupons. I also bought a pack of Kotex (also with a coupon) and a box of Kleenex.
I don't have the link to the Cottonelle coupons, but I got it from slickdeals.
Here is what I picked up so far:
CVS: Revitalift, Nivea Mens Bodywash, Crest Pro Health Tooth Paste, 4 12pks of Pepsi. Spent $18 on gift card and 8 ECB's earned 21.98 back in ECB's
WAGS: Crest Whitening Strips, 2 Reach toothbrushes, Crest Pro Health Mouth Wash, 2 glade plug ins.
Spent $20 in RR and 5 something out of pocket after Q's and earned $17.50 back in RR & $2 for rebate. The RR for the reach toothbrushes don't expire until December which is really nice. I still have one more RR for $10 that I need to use by Saturday. I haven't quite figured out a scenario yet.
@Mar - You know, I did see the coupon but I just wasn't comfortable getting it b/c it seems to be intended for subscribers only (with the clicking yes to receiving the print edition). Thanks also for the heads up about the Dole Fruit - I'll have to take a look!
@Cindy - Thanks for the pointer about the coupon - I actually found the ones in my stash but that's good to know!
@Mari - Wow, that's a good haul! I'll have to see how many Reach q's I have - it would be worth doing multiple deals if the RR is that long-lasting. Thanks!
The paper products in my area are higher. $1 for Kleenex, $6.49 for Cottonelle. I have a link to the coupon on my site if you need it: http://abusymomoftwo.blogspot.com/2008/09/cvs-scenarios-week-of-921.html
Cathy, thanks for telling me about having to click on the one button. I hadn't gone to the website myself yet; I should have known to check it out first before passing it on!
@Busymom - Wow, I thought LA always gets stuck with the high regional prices. I'm feeling extra grateful for the Kleenex deal now - 77-cents is the lowest price I can remember seeing, ever. But just a couple of months ago, I was pretty happy with $1/box. I hope CVS makes it up to you with extra good deals in the coming weeks!
@Mar - No problem, the online printable $/$$ are always tricky, I think. I was so excited when I saw the I heart CVS update, and then so bummed. Oh well, hopefully a perfectly legitimate coupon will come out soon!
