I'll never catch up on all of my saved recipes

Even before Alex was born, I had a file full of recipes that I wanted to make. Each month, the file grew bigger, even if I made two or three new recipes each week.

When Tyler was born, I stopped reading the issues of Cooking Light that arrived in the mail. They're lined up on a bookshelf, waiting for the day when I can cook in blocks of longer than 15 minutes.

Of course, I also collect recipes online. Smitten Kitchen is the site where I find myself saving almost every recipe. It was the post about making fresh ricotta that got me thinking wistfully about cooking more. And I realized that I've crossed a threshold: I've got so many recipes saved that unless it becomes my sole mission in life to make every one of them, I'll never catch up.

Hm, maybe that's what my next blog will be about, say in five years!

I also like reading different recipes online. Some of them I find very useful for everyday life. When it is the right time to cook something new, online recipes is what all good housewives need.
