  • Chief Family Officer’s Third Anniversary Celebration: Giveaway #5 – Autographed copy of Alive and Kicking

Last month, I reviewed a book called Alive and Kicking: Legal Advice …. for Boomers. I learned a lot from the book, and think it’s worth reading for just about anyone. That’s why I’m delighted to announce that the authors have generously agreed to give one lucky CFO reader an autographed copy.

Whether you are a Boomer yourself, have parents who are approaching retirement, or just curious about the financial and practical concerns of getting older, you’ll find this book full of useful information. I learned about Medicare, Social Security, and got a refresher course on estate planning. To learn more about the book, read my review. Also check out some material the authors sent me on writing an end-of-life-letter, raising grandchildren, and questions to ask your doctor.

To enter this giveaway, simply leave a comment telling me the best thing about getting older.

For an extra chance to win, subscribe to my feed via RSS or email and leave a separate comment telling me you have done so (or that you’re already subscribed).

And for a third chance to win, write about this giveaway on your own site, then leave me a separate comment with a link to your post. It’s important that you leave a separate comment for each type of entry because each comment constitutes one entry.

The giveaway ends at 6:00 p.m. PDT on Thursday, June 12. I’ll use Random.org to generate a number that corresponds with the winning comment.

The winner will be announced here on CFO. If I can easily locate the winner’s email address, I will also email the winner. The winner will have 48 hours to claim their prize; otherwise a new winner will be randomly selected.

One entry per type per person. Sorry, this giveaway is open to U.S. residents only.

    Good luck!

Happy Saturday! I like getting older because the alternative doesn’t look real pleasant at this time in my life. I have also learned to take one day at a time as I mature! I have two sons and I really like the young men they are turning into! My husband and I could really benefit from this book. We could prepare a little in advance of retirement and the debt I have gotten us into in previous years, I need to learn a lot! I am subscribed to your newsletter. Thanks very much…..Cindi

The best thing about getting older is finally figuring out that what other people think about you isn’t important…it’s how YOU feel about you, and if something needs to be improved, you do it according to your own schedule.
