Unless you’re brand new to CFO (and if you are, welcome!), you know that I love playing The Drugstore Game and that my new favorite store is CVS. So it seemed only right to give away a CVS gift card! And we all know by now that giving away a $10 CVS gift card is like giving away $500
In addition to the CVS gift card, Cascade will give the winner a bottle of dishwashing gel. And, four other readers will receive their own bottle of Cascade gel!
To enter, head over to the Cascade site and look around. Then come back and leave me a comment telling me something you learned.
For an extra chance to win, subscribe to my feed via RSS or email and leave a separate comment telling me you have done so (or that you’re already subscribed).
And for a third chance to win, write about this giveaway on your own site, then leave me a separate comment with a link to your post.
The giveaway ends at 6:00 p.m. PDT on Wednesday, June 11. I’ll use Random.org to generate a number that corresponds with the winning comment.
The winners will be announced here on CFO. If I can easily locate the winners’ email address, I will also email the winners. The winners will have 48 hours to claim their prizes; otherwise a new winner will be randomly selected.
One entry per type per person. This giveaway is open to residents of the U.S. and Canada.
Good luck!

I learned that Tip: There’s no need to overload the dishwasher because even small loads are still more energy efficient than doing dishes in the sink. Did you know? On average, you can wash a load of dishes in your dishwasher for less than the cost of a postage stamp. Great giveaway, thanks!
I am also a subscriber. Thanks again!

I learned how efficient it is to use a dishwasher that onn average, you can wash a load of dishes in your dishwasher for less than the cost of a postage stamp. I grew up washing by hand and always thought it used more water. This is good to know because with four kids, I now use the dishwasher two times a day. Thanks I am glad I learned some cool stuff!

I have subscribed using my RSS reader. Thanks for the opportunity to enter!
I learned that the dishwasher was invented by Josephine Cochrane more than 100 years ago. I never knew it had been around that long.
Who knew?…..Use the Heat Dry cycle to dry your dishes. This not only eliminates a time-consuming task, but it is more sanitary.
Lord knows I need me some sanitary dishes, now!

Wow, one load cost less than the cost of a postage stamp! Reading that made me feel better about the fact that we seem to need to run ours almost every day.
Cascade releases a fresh scent from your dishwasher vents!

I learned that with Cascade Complete, there’s no need to prewash. I’m in the habit of prewashing everything but now maybe I will try a load without any prewashing and see how the dishes turn out.

I didn’t realize that it’s more energy efficient to use dishwasher for even small loads….Didn’t know that. Also liked the tips for loading the dishwasher. That made my husband laugh. He already thinks I’m too particular.

I learned you can use Cascade Plastic Booster to remove red stains and odors from your plasticware, I always end of throwing them out, I will have to keep my eye out for this product!!

I don’t trust dish washers. I always wash my dishes before putting them in, so clean dishes coming out does not necessarily mean the dish washer did anything. I can’t bring myself to put dirty dishes in, and the dang thing turns off everytime I open it up. I learned the Cascade site has no information concerning using your dishwasher for storage.
Never thought about this….always load taller items away from the center of the spray arm, ensuring smaller items aren’t shielded from the cleansing.
I learned that even small loads are more energy efficient than washing the dishes in the sink. That’s great, because I hate doing dishes by hand anyhow!
Wow! Who knew that the scented Cascade will make your kitchen smell good too!
I learned not to run the wash, shower while running the dishwasher.
I did not know even small loads are still more energy efficient than doing dishes in the sink.
Load silverware with some handles up and some handles down to prevent nesting.
This makes sense but I’ve never done that!

wow. i learned that it is economically cheaper to use your dishwasher rather then doing them by hand. who knew?
I learned always load plastic items on the top rack. No more melty thingees afterwards.

I learned that I don’t load my dishwasher the “right” way (My dishes all face the same way, my silverware is all loaded handles down….) It was good to read the sites advice; I didn’t think of why I do things a particular way.
I know others have said it, but it surprised me too – I did not know that even doing a small load in the dishwasher is more energy efficient than washing by hand!!
Oops, I’ve always put my glasses OVER the tines so they wouldn’t bump into each other…glasses between the tines…good tip!
