I learned how efficient it is to use a dishwasher that onn average, you can wash a load of dishes in your dishwasher for less than the cost of a postage stamp. I grew up washing by hand and always thought it used more water. This is good to know because with four kids, I now use the dishwasher two times a day. Thanks I am glad I learned some cool stuff!

I learned that the dishwasher was invented by Josephine Cochrane more than 100 years ago. I never knew it had been around that long.
Who knew?…..Use the Heat Dry cycle to dry your dishes. This not only eliminates a time-consuming task, but it is more sanitary.
Lord knows I need me some sanitary dishes, now!

I learned that with Cascade Complete, there’s no need to prewash. I’m in the habit of prewashing everything but now maybe I will try a load without any prewashing and see how the dishes turn out.

I didn’t realize that it’s more energy efficient to use dishwasher for even small loads….Didn’t know that. Also liked the tips for loading the dishwasher. That made my husband laugh. He already thinks I’m too particular.

I learned you can use Cascade Plastic Booster to remove red stains and odors from your plasticware, I always end of throwing them out, I will have to keep my eye out for this product!!

I don’t trust dish washers. I always wash my dishes before putting them in, so clean dishes coming out does not necessarily mean the dish washer did anything. I can’t bring myself to put dirty dishes in, and the dang thing turns off everytime I open it up. I learned the Cascade site has no information concerning using your dishwasher for storage.
Never thought about this….always load taller items away from the center of the spray arm, ensuring smaller items aren’t shielded from the cleansing.
I learned that even small loads are more energy efficient than washing the dishes in the sink. That’s great, because I hate doing dishes by hand anyhow!

I learned that I don’t load my dishwasher the “right” way (My dishes all face the same way, my silverware is all loaded handles down….) It was good to read the sites advice; I didn’t think of why I do things a particular way.
I know others have said it, but it surprised me too – I did not know that even doing a small load in the dishwasher is more energy efficient than washing by hand!!
Oops, I’ve always put my glasses OVER the tines so they wouldn’t bump into each other…glasses between the tines…good tip!
