This week last year, I posted a recipe for Turkey Sloppy Joes, and coincidentally, I made them last night for dinner. I modified the recipe slightly by browning the turkey, then putting all of the ingredients in my slow cooker, adding chicken broth to thin the mixture a little bit, and cooking it on low all day long. I also served the sloppy joes on kaiser rolls since they're easier on the boys than french bread.
Two years ago, I posted a recipe that I've been making a lot lately since Tyler likes it and I seem to have a lot of overripe bananas: my family's recipe for Hanalei Plantation Banana Bread. I cut down on the baking time by using a 13x9 inch baking dish instead of two loaf pans (about 35 to 45 minutes instead of 50 to 60).
That same week, I also posted about some unusual bargains that can be found in LA.
