- Reasons For Having Only One Spouse Apply For A Mortgage Loan at My Money Blog - I can understand Jonathan's rationale for having only his wife apply for the mortgage on their new house, but I wonder how many couples are buying a house they could afford on one salary.
- Our Light Bill Doubles Neighbor's: Contest for Reduction Tips! at The Frugal Duchess - After reading this post, I'm tempted to ask our neighbors how much their gas and electricity bills are. I'd be appalled if their bills were half of what ours are, but it would certainly be good to know.

Hi!Thanks so much for the mention.(I'm such a fan of your blog!!!)
Go ask your neighbor. I'm almost sorry we asked, but I plan to figure out why their bill is sooo much lower than ours.
Take Care,

Me! We can afford our house on one salary and it was planned that way.
Us, too. Our current mortgage is in my name only. If we buy a second home, it'll be in his name only (and we'll rent out the first house). That way we can always afford our house on one salary. Gives me a little extra peace of mind.
@Frugal Duchess - Aw, thanks Sharon! I'm kind of afraid, but I'll ask the neighbors the next time I see them.
@Living almost large and Bitsy Pieces - Okay, I'm completely impressed at the way you bought within your means. And I do love the idea of being able to afford the house on one salary (we bought beneath our purchasing power too, so I do practice what I preach too!). What, if anything, did you do about the legal concerns with only one spouse being on the mortgage?
