- Cheap, Healthy, Environmentally Friendly Seafood Recipes at Cheap Healthy Good - I was disappointed but not surprised that my favorite fish (wild salmon) wasn't on the list. I probably won't give it up completely, but I'll try to make more recipes with sardines.
- No-knead bread, once again at Slashfood - I first read about no-knead bread at Chocolate and Zucchini, but it's this raving Slashfood post that's convinced me to try it. It's the perfect excuse to buy a larger oven-proof pot.
- Dealing With the Alternative Minimum Tax (AMT) at Generation X Finance - Unfortunately, there's no AMT relief on the way yet. Jeremy has some good basic info about the tax.
- Using Simple Rules to Predict your Retirement Needs at Moolanomy - I've been pretty confident about the adequateness of our retirement savings, but Pinyo's got me a little freaked out. If I want to fully retire in 40 years, I would need annual income that's four times my current income, which would be . . . well, substantial.
- The Pros and Cons of Sharebuilder at Get Rich Slowly - J.D. shares some interesting thoughts about Sharebuilder. Personally, I think $4 per transaction is too much for small amounts of money - I only paid it to get a tiny piece of Berkshire Hathaway, and I only did that for the $90 gift card from Costco (speaking of which, it hasn't arrived yet - I guess that means I have to start looking up customer service numbers).
- Sanitize pacifiers while on the go at Parent Hacks - This is so brilliant. I wish I'd read it before my kids were born.
- HealthyToys.org - You can search their site to see if your kids' toy has been recalled (you can also search the CPSC web site. You can also ask them to test a specific toy, and site visitors can vote on which toys should be tested. Via The Consumerist.

Thank you for including my post. It's just a rule of thumb. I guess a better way to do it is to index it off your current annual expense.
